Delivery Policies

SLO WINE STORAGE will provide delivery service to the San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties for all of our Wine Storage Customers. Deliveries to other areas can be arranged by common carrier for a small fee of $3.00 per order.

It is important that we have the correct and complete name and address of each customer. Please provide all the information regarding any restrictions or special customer. Please provide all the information regarding any restrictions or special delivery to us in writing. There will be a $4.00 charge for incorrect or incomplete delivery to us in writing.

All deliveries will be made Monday thru Friday 8:00am-4.00pm unless specified.

Special Delivery or Restrictions are defined when your customer restricts hours of delivery or certain days of the business week (Monday-Friday).

Restricted Hours-when a customer requires a limited 2 hour block only for delivery (i.e. Deliveries from 1-3 only) $12.00 additional charge.

AM or PM only deliveries will be assessed an additional $6.00 charge.

Next day delivery must be in no later than 2:00pm. Next day orders that are processed as a "late" order will be subject to a $3.00 late charge. Next day orders that are received after 4:00pm are considered a "rush" order and are subject to an $8.00 rush order charge.

Minimum delivery charges. Please refer to our delivery rates for a case quantity cost. Wine brokers or sales agents that are representing several wineries can combine case orders from different wineries to a single account that is shipped on a single day. Each winery will be charged at the single case delivery rate to meet our minimum charge. All cases must have originated form the SLO Wine Storage Warehouse.

Will call same day orders. There is a $0.75 per case charge along with our out charge and normal order processing fees for all will call same day orders.

COD orders. All COD shipments are subject to a $4.00 charge. Please inform your customers prior to delivery all COD deliveries. Drivers will be instructed to wait a reasonable amount of time to allow your customer to write a check. If the customer is not there or the driver cannot get a check we will have to go on to our next delivery. We will notify you as soon as possible so that you can contact your customer.

Special Note: All case goods stored in our warehouse must be insured by the winery.

Chain Store Delivery

We recognize that deliveries to most chain stores will take longer for us to complete. We want to be fair to our customers and provide a reasonable waiting period of 45 minutes for these types of deliveries. These deliveries are prescheduled by appointment only and require that we provide them with a PO number and your vendor number along withe the number of cases to be delivered. We will need this information prior to delivery and would like to schedule the appointment for you. At this time we will waive an appointment charge. If we cannot complete the delivery within 45 minutes you will be assessed a $15.00 charge.

UPS/FedEx Shipments

Our parent company ships internationally. We have accounts established with not only UPS and FedEx but also Mattison Freight, Viking Freight GI Trucking, and Mountain West Express. If you need delivery internationally or nationally we can arrange this through our many freight carriers. Our standard order processing charges will apply in addition to the International Shipping charges we incur.

Billing upon receipt of statement, invoices will be due and payable within 15 days. All invoices unpaid 30 days or after the date of our statement are subject to a monthly payment equal to 1.5% of the statement amount outstanding on the 31st day.
